Heather Williams is Associate Professor of Politics at Pomona College. She is the author of numerous works on Mexico, Latin America, social movements, the U.S.-Mexico border, and environment and agriculture. Her publications include Social Movements and Economic Transition in Mexico (Cambridge University Press), Planting Trouble: The Barzon Debtors’ Movement in Mexico (Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies), “Fighting Corporate Swine” (Politics & Society), and “From Labor Tragedy to Legal Farce: The Han Young Workers’ Struggle in Tijuana, Mexico” (Social Science History), and “Mobile Capital and Transborder Labor Rights Mobilization” (Politics & Society).
